Pepperwood, Spiced Citrus and Teak
Janus was the Roman god of new beginnings, gateways and passages through time. The month of January, often a time of reflection and transition was named after Janus. As a god of new beginnings, Janus was also responsible for the passage of time and the fluidity of change, and is often considered to be one of the most important of the Roman gods.
Janus is usually depicted as having two faces that look in opposing directions, one looking back towards the past, the other looking ahead into the future. We have chosen to depict Janus as having both a male and female face, instead of the traditional twin male faces.
Our Janus candle takes inspiration from fresh starts and new beginnings. Light, airy and like a clean spritz of cool cologne, this fragrance embodies the vibrant and positive start of the coming New Year. Fiery pepperwood blends with clean notes of spiced citrus and woody teak. Complex, yet calm and cool, this is the perfect fragrance to use during the long, warm days of January.
